Purchase for a 1997 4.3l and fit perfectly. I just installed and it works great but only have 10 Starts on it so no comment about how long it will last. Shipped great, well protected. Price was the same as all the other sellers. It only came with one new hex nut for the main power connection, had to reuse the 2 other smaller nuts from the old starter. Reuse mounting bolts.

Everything was fine with the starter. However, It would have been appropriate to have received new hardware as well..the two bolts for installation. The originals could be pretty old and for the money, it would have been the right thing to do. Can’t lie, I was disappointed.

Disappointed that no mounting hardware was included. The two existing bolts should definitely be replaced and new ones should have been included.

I can't review the starter yet as it's on my spring boat maintenance list but NUWAVE seems to be a great place to buy OEM Mercruiser parts. Boat parts are not cheap and OEM is by no means a cheap part but they will outlast any other knock-offs out there and end up saving you time and money. NUWAVE's shipping was fast and free and arrived at my house 2 days after I made the purchase.
