Read carefully. I was under the impression house plans would come with window and door takeoffs. These do not and I do not remember any disclaimer that made you aware of this other than paying more for a materials list (of that even included window/door sizes. Delivery was fast though.

We have a prominent link on the website, near the "Plan Purchase Options", called "What's Included" that gives a generic list of what to expect. You'll find that the list does not include window and door takeoffs. However, the window and door sizes are listed on the floor plans so they are identified. We can't provide a window schedule without knowing the manufacturer, which is decided by you, because rough openings can vary from one manufacturer to another. The material list often includes a generic window schedule but that is up to the individual designer and how he/she prepares it.

I really appreciated that I could change the parameters from Economy, Standard, and Premium to get the cost breakdown for each so that I could determine the cost to build in our zip code. Very handy tool to use before buying the plans.

The cost tool was somewhat valuable in getting a rough estimate of cost to build this plan, but did not give enough detail or flexibility to get a truly accurate estimate.

Did not feel it was with the money to receive a ball park price for a home. Not even sure if heating and ductwork, plumbing comes with the plans. Then you have to pay way more for something so simple just to modify from right to left.
