These rods provide a great example of the principles of density (as do the cubes). It is best to have an aluminum rod of similar dimensions to fully appreciate the awesome heft of tungsten.

Unique desktop item that will hopefully spark interest in my grandkids as to what the world is made of. I did tell them, however, the heavy one (tungsten) was kryptonite from the planet Krypton. Tungsten was in perfect condition. Aluminum showed very slight signs of wear & tear. I guess these items won't be scratch/ding free forever and now I won't feel I have to smack my grandkids upside the head if they drop one:) Each cube came with a small display stand perfect for display.
