Great pieces for my Mardi Gras party in February. The chess pieces were a hit. Their size but light weight made it easy for our members to carry them and place on the floor of the ballroom we use every year for our party.

I ordered the MegaChess 38 inch Perfect Chess Set recently. As a landscape designer, it was my first time incorporating an outdoor chess board into a private residence landscape. MegaChess was extremely helpful in answering my questions, providing suggestions and specifications. When the pieces arrived there were, unfortunately, five pieces of the wrong color. To make matters worse, the owners were throwing a large party in three days and were relying on the chessboard being functional. Ken Hagerstrom from MegaChess answered my email after hours and we spoke the next day. He bent over backward to resolve the issue and jumped through a few hoops to send out replacement pieces. They arrived in time and the chessboard was a huge success. Lets face it....mistakes happen. And you learn a lot about a company by how they deal with the mistakes. I was so impressed with the customer service that I decided to write a review (something that I haven't done in years). I highly recommend MegaChess!

It's more on the thin side. I would have preferred it to be a bit thicker. I use it on concrete at my school so when it's windy it's hard to keep it down... for someone who is gonna use it on grass or dirt, that shouldn't be a problem.

I absolutely love the giant chess. The plastic board and chess pieces are perfect! By myself it took just couple hours to put it together including adding sand to the bottom and in the end the product is PERFECT! I installed this in my Airbnb house and hope all my customers will love it as much as I do. I highly recommend ordering from Megachess.
