The SSK001 is a pretty good “caller” GMT, certainly the most capable for the money. The bezel has what seems to be a hardlex cover that someone considering should be aware of - while photos sometimes show the bezel as black/grey, the clear top layer makes the grey more of a mirror. For some this might be nice, a bit flashier, but the look is definitely not utilitarian with a simple two-tone matte combo. To me this was a drawback in an otherwise amazing timepiece.

I've long been a fan of Marc's videos and when I saw he had the Seiko 5 GMT in stock, I decided it was time to finally put my money where my mouth was and purchase from him. Communication was great and the watch arrived a couple of days later. I even wrote Marc an email with a few questions about it and he personally answered within a few hours. Great experience! For some reason my address didn't autocomplete on the shipping section (billing went through fine, ahhh computers!). I'm sure it was something I did.
