I bought this model a couple of months back and it has consistently lost between 5 and 10 minutes every few days. Honestly, I have had better $50 watches as a kid that actually kept time. Don't waste your money like I did on this watch. I'm sorry that I bought it and want to spare other potential buyers the same regret.

The Seiko 5 Military fit the criteria for an affordable automatic that attracts less attention than my Orient or my Omega. Pro: Subtly elegant, nice satin casework. Looks great with gray NATO band, item #SB-11-SS. Keeps perfect time. Skeleton case back is a nice feature, baffles millennials. Con: Not windable or hackable, so although it looks military, it is more military in style than function. Shortest reserve time of any automatic I have worn, 7 hours seems to be the maximum, sometimes as little as 5 hours. Maybe that's why it's called the Seiko 5.

The title says it all. Eventually I'll replace the canvas band which sort of cheapens the watch. I'm pleased with the watch itself and very pleased with the quick delivery from Long Island Watch.

Bought this for a close friend who hates large watches. I would always see him sporting some yard sale field watch, most of which were Chinese junk, or something on sale from REI. When he got the watch he went nuts, put it on immediately, and remarked,â€Âthis thing is perfectâ€Â. He hasn’t worn another watch since.
