I've had my eye on Phoibos for a year or so but ended up making other watch purchases, now I'm mad at myself for waiting so long. These watches are so well done...just hits all the right notes and checks all the boxes for me. I like different without being too different, yet still classic. So many great features and I feel the quality punches way above its price point. Easily my favorite now, even over watches I paid considerably more for. The lume is superb! beautiful dial, This is a winner! The only detractor is the octopus embossing and the font on the case back is a bit sharp on the edges. I only feel it when I run my finger across it though, don't sense or feel it while worn. that's being extra nitpicky this thing Rocks!

It is shocking to me that this much quality is available at this price. Gorgeous, great features, feels great, fits great, what more could you want? There's just one weird drawback: the case engraving is literally razor-sharp, in that it has shaved off all the hair on my wrist after five days of daily wear... Seriously. I have a bald spot on the top of my wrist now. It's also a bit irritated. I'm not sure if I want to develop enough callous to prevent this. But I will find a solution, because it's a heck of a great watch.

I've been after this watch for a while, and it was finally in stock. I don't normally cater to "homage" makers from China, but they really are getting good at what they do. Specs here are just hard to beat for the price. Word is that these come from the same factory as Deep Blue, and I'd say the quality is certainly on par. Ceramic, lumed bezel, sapphire crystal, BGW9 lume, the usual Seiko work horse NH35, 300m WR, engineer bracelet, solid links, solid end links, screwed links (who has screwed links at this price??), milled clasp, excellent bezel and crown operation, plus a striking design for the dial. You can't even get sapphire, ceramic and a milled clasp for twice this price, with Seiko themselves, let alone a lumed bezel! I own several hundred watches, and, beyond the value, this is just a great looking watch, with no flaws. Truly a refreshing diver design and I'm glad I finally have one! Go Phoibos!

Very good watch. I removed the bracelet and put on a black and orange rubber strap. Orange on the inner side and black on the outer. This really picks up the orange highlights in the watch itself.

I received the first watch and wore it for a couple of days then it stopped. Reset it wouldn't it a bit and wore it a couple more days it stopped. Informed Marc about the problem he sent a new one out and took care of the problem. Phoibos I'll give 4 stars Long Island Watch customer service get's 5.

My 1st watch from LIW. Thank you Marc and team for excellent service! Ordered May 26th Sunday; Shipped May 29th; Recd June 5th in Toronto in excellent condition. Charged tax 13% (ON) on the CDN converted price, plus $9.95 handling fee by CBSA. After one week of daily use, my findings so far: everything works & looks great; incredible lume on dial & bezel; nice heft and height; incredible kracken engraving (etches are sharp to the feel!) on caseback; on the slightly minus side, the bracelet edge has a sharpness to it making it uncomfortable over long duration (can leave marks on wrist); when screwing in the crown ensure to take care, otherwise unscrewing action later may cause unwanted slip into date change mode. Timing accuracy still under observation.

The Wave Master is a solid design with great finish work for the price. The coin edge bezel has a very satisfying action but does have a slight bit of back play. The lume is striking and the case back is an interesting design with the incorporation of the King Octopus logo. The engineer bracelet sets the watch off well but does not feel quite as finely finished as a StrapCode design. The only issue I have had with the watch is that the outer clip of the clasp comes undone with a moderate amount of pressure, such as when the wearer bends his wrist back when pushing up from a table or desk. After working with the links and micro adjustments I was able to minimize the issue. I prefer a snug fitting bracelet and this may contribute to problem

I got this watch not just because I don't have to mod anything out of the box but because it checks everything off my list. AR Sapphire crystal, Ceramic Bezel with Blue Lume everything etc etc you get the point. The bezel action is great. Its easy to turn and grip and it locks in place quite well. Despite there being back play by almost a full second, it turns back into place like an elastic band after you release grip from the bezel. The bracelet, if you have the right screwdriver for it, is actually super easy to size. What does bother me quite a bit is that the bezel up at 12 lines up at either 59.5 minutes (to the left) or 0.5 minute (to the right) and its super obvious. Really ruins the whole watch face for me especially at night with that clear BGW9 lume because it makes the off alignment pop even more. I really want to love this watch and make it my daily but that bezel just kills it for me.
