I had my eye on this for a little while and the prices here at Island Watch made it impossible to resist, while a sapphire dome would be nice it's a beautiful "checks all the boxes" wristwatch otherwise and the internals and externals seem solidly assembled.

A great buying experience. I made a small error in my shipping address and they fixed it before I even flagged it for them. Watch came very quickly and was packaged properly. The owner, Marc, takes a personal interest in his customers. Pleasant change from other on-line retailers. Check out his super cool Youtube videos, if you haven't already.

I bothered Marc with 6-7 emails with questions about dive watches. He quickly returned my emails with succinct answers. I ordered an Orient Ray II but got an Orient Mako II (easy mistake). It came quickly. I returned it. I found a nicer looking Quartz* diver watch from China. I asked Mark for a refund instead of exchanging for the Ray II I originally ordered. He credited back my card quickly. Like so many other Island Watch reviewers, I appreciated his professional service. I asked watch smith why so many people prefer Automatic watches over Quartz watches since they are more accurate. He said most people prefer Automatics over Quartz but admitted that Quartz and Automatic watches in the same price range both last about as long as each other and that Automatic watch movements are more expensive to replace. I guess it's about the additional craftsmanship in Automatic watches that people prefer, but . . .

Love this watch, I had previously bought a Pepsi mako and was a bit disappointed in it. The Ray is a much better looking watch and appears more expensive than it is I have already swapped out the crystal to saphire an a strapcode braclet is on the way which will rectify the only things negative about this watch

Fantastic watch, really nice quality as good as the SKX007 that I also have. Praise for TGV which is how I found Marc's site in the first place. The order was very well packed & shipped quickly but unfortunately then got held up in NY for a few days, bad weather & New Year, then once in the UK went on a magical mystery tour, again for a few days. Revenue protection within Royal Mail etc. still once the duty was paid it was delivered quickly, in perfect condition. I will certainly be purchasing more from here. Many Thanks Update: 31/10/18 I'm so impressed with this watch that following the recent price decrease I've bought another one which has now arrived safe & sound. Pop a Strapcode bracelet & it goes up another level. Once again Many Thanks Marc, keep up the great work.

Great watch for the money, good looking and accurate +6 to +10 secs. a day. Great service, quick communication with any question, fast shipping. Once again good bracelet considering the price. My only problem is whether to wear it with the bracelet or my new blue line zulu strap (retired LEO)

Very satisfied. Shipping time was good. Watch was in excellent condition. Keeps time to with about 2.5 Seconds fast a day. Great value for a watch under $200.00. Would order again. Love the Watch N Learn videos as well.

The Orient Ray II arrived right on time. The packaging was excellent, very well protected. The watch looks exactly as pictured: welcome for a blue dial. The communication with LIW has been terrific.

Absolutely love the watch, I don't think you can get a better watch for the price (or even 2x the price). I have noticed it was initially a bit fast but appears to be settling in now after 2 weeks. So don't fret if its a little fast out of the box.
