Durable. I'm rough on gear and this watch has already seen a little abuse and there are no marks on the crystal or body yet.

A fantastic watch! Easy to read in any light condition. Wears great even though it’s a big watch! Changed the strap right away because it comes with a rubber strap that doesn’t do the watch justice. Was concerned about the bezel free turning but it seats quite well. A great dive watch! Thank you LongIsland watch for such a great price!

The Marathon JSAR is built like all the other Marathon Watches, they are built to last and sharp looking with any attire. The service at Island Watch is the best around, very responsive extremely helpful and very understanding. I highly recommend them, you can feel very confident purchasing from them.

I've purchased from Marc previously and just like the first time, everything is always excellent - service, product and follow-up. The JSAR is a great watch and does not disappoint. I really love its look and that vanilla infused strap. I know another review stated the bezel could be rotated with their pinky, but I didn't find it that easy. Yes, it's not as stiff as some of my other diver's but still perfectly normal in my opinion. The lume is really bright as well. My wrist is 7 1/2 and this watch doesn't feel or look too big at all - great fit and weight. I have a Citizen Promaster Aqualand that is similar in size but has a thicker case so the JSAR is not as daunting as you might think - really just right for me. Great everyday'er. Island Watch and Marc are great to do business with and I'm looking forward to my next purchase.

Only thing missing is a day of the week read out. Has date only. This is a massive 46mm and hefty watch. Built solid with all the standard dive features you want. Looks unique, grabs people's attention cause it doesn't look like anything else. I swapped out the original black band for a silicone orange band that matches the indicators within the watch. Looks super cool now. Daily wearer

I've wanted a JSAR for several years. Longislandwatch.com had a great price, so I picked one up. Well built and very substantial time peice. Got it for a SCUBA trip to bonaire, where I don't feel comfortable bringing my more expensive dive watch. Very happy with the look, feel, and weight.

I bought a Marathon JSAR during the LIW Black Friday sale and shipping to me was lightening quick. Upon inspection I found the bezel action to be very loose - could spin with just one finger and a pinkie at that. I contacted LIW and Marc sent me a second one and a return label for the first. The replacement was no better so I returned it and am dealing with the first one - maybe will contact Marathon directly before warranty is up. It's a cool watch but I have a less expensive Citizen Nighthawk and really cheap Casio that keep better time and have better hand alignment. That and the bezel action being so poor are serious strikes against it, but I have to admit I still like the watch. If you are a perfectionist maybe look at something other than Marathon.
