Really like my new Marathon GPM watch! It is a great size at 34mm and really lightweight with the carbon fiber case. The tritium lume is also a great feature and perfect for when I wake up in the middle of the night and want to know the time. The price on this one was very reasonable from Long Island Watch as well.

I would and do recommend Long Island Watch to my friends for great value, great selection, and great customer service. Every time I contact their customer service, I am happy with the outcome. I also recommend the Islander brand as one of the best entry level microbrands for new collectors.

This is a great field watch! The constant tritium lume is good and the watch itself is very light weight, the fact that it has a flat sapphire glass it makes me less worried of the occasional scratches and bumps. Even though the watch is 34mm it wears slightly bigger. I've been looking for a sub 38mm field watch and I pulled the trigger this one given it had tritium lume, sapphire glass and it's a MIL Spec watch. Although if you have a large wrist or are used to wearing >40mm watches it might look small to you given that it also has a 16mm nylon band.

I have had my eye on this one for a while, and finally pulled the trigger hoping I wouldn't have buyer's remorse. After wearing it for a while, I'm glad I bought it. It's easily one of the lightest watches I own, and because of this it's quite comfortable to wear. The Tritium illumination is definitely more than bright enough to be able to tell the time at night (especially with night adapted eyes), so I have a tendency to wear it to bed. It appears to be taller than it needs to be, but it's not any taller on the wrist than my square G-Shock. The proportions might be off putting to some, but I've grown to love it. I find that my particular unit loses about 4 seconds a day, which is acceptable to me. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

What a pleasure to learn about watches and then to have such a wide selection. I have small wrists so this Marathon fit the ticket. It is running accurate to within 5 seconds a day and it is true, as your eyes adjust to darkness the Tritium is bright. Thanks for offering it, shipping it quickly and at an affordable price.

Watch arrive quickly after ordering it. The tritium tubes provided better than expected illumination in mid light and as expected Illumination in darkness. The only thing that I personally will change is the watch band, since the one that is comes with is fairly stiff on the width edges and uncomfortable because of that to me.

Pulled the trigger on a bit of a whim after watching Marc's affordable field watch video, and realising this little Marathon was very well spec'd for the price (automatic, sapphire, interesting history). I liked it immediately out of the (tiny!) box, there's an air of class & feels heavier than you expect for its size, though the weight vanishes on wrist with the compact dimensions & super light nylon. I like how the matte grey on the bezel and crown breaks up the black resin case, preventing it from looking plasticky. The radioactive hazard symbol lends a bit of zombie apocalypse fun. It may be standard military issue but don't underestimate how many outfits it will complement - I'm wearing it EVERYWHERE. My wrist is 6.5inch & it looks sweet, I could imagine it starting to get lost on a really big dude tho. Great watch & experience with Long Island - I've finally gone sub 38mm & may never go back!

Because I take out my contact lenses at night, this is a great watch to wear to bed. It's extremely light weight and the tritium illumination makes it easy to read.

A nice watch with a rich history. The tritium shows bright enough at night. I changed out the band for a OEM Marathon leather band which wears very comfortable. Even though it is a small case at 34mm it wears bigger than that. I am very happy with this piece.
