I wanted to love this one, and I tried. But the middling alignment of the chapter ring left me less than wowed. Is it bad enough to send back? No. And that's the problem - it's not terrible enough to fix, but it's not right, either. So I'm stuck with something that I have to pretend is OK. When it's really not. Yeah, I know... it's an "affordable watch", what should I expect? Performance-wise it's nothing special, either... this is my third Islander, and all three have run significantly slowly (-10 to -30 sec/day) right out of the box, with little to no improvement over time. Don't get me wrong, they're nice watches, but are they $400 nice? Nope.

After being a long time Apple Watch wearer I chose this watch to be my first watch back into the analog watch world and it did not disappoint. I couldn’t have picked a better watch. Mark and the team knocked it out of the park with this watch. From the finish on the titanium, the sand dial, the lume, to the flawless watch strap. They thought of everything. I’m seriously considering purchasing other color ways of either the watch or maybe must more of these bands. 10/10 could not recommend this watch more. I really wanted the blue one but for my first watch in my collection I chose to play it safe. This absolutely won’t be my last islander!

Perfect. The videos made the buying process so simple. Not easy but simple. You have so many good watches to choose from it took me a long time to make a decision. But without your helpful videos I don't know that I would have made the decision. Great buying experience

What can I say... this is by far, the best-looking, feeling, and working watch I have had. I have had several watches before, but this one takes the cake! Sharp, stylish, dress-down, and even upscale. It does it all! Along with the "how to" video for sizing the band, it is hands down the best watch I have ever owned.

I received my watch yesterday (yay). I'd been hemming and hawing over whether to buy this one or not. My advice is- just buy it. You will NOT be disappointed. Craftsmanship, fit and finish are all outstanding, easily a match for pieces that are much more expensive. Marc, Ryan and co. are punching well above their weight with the entire Islander line. The dial has a lot of depth and detail, but no extraneous information; nicely balancedOne of the nicest things about this watch is the uniqueness. You are very unlikely to see another one of these in the wild; one of the advantages of the micro brand. Also, the chapter ring lines up, unlike certain other, larger brands [S***ko] Be sure to watch the sizing video; I ended up only needing to remove one section from each side. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish; they kept me in the loop the entire time. The watch was packed with great care, and arrived exactly when they said it would. An extra touch was the email I received this morning (got the watch yesterday), making sure I'd received it, complete with confirmation link. I've dealt with speedier brands, and never received this level of service.

I saw this watch in person at the San Francisco Windup Watch fair and knew I had to get it. Very nice finish and design. Now I’m waiting for the titanium bracelet. Definitely recommend Islander watches.

I found a couple of tiny finishing issues on the coating of the bezel, (small bubbles) where the bezel meets the outer case. I don't really care for the font that the 'Islander' text comes in. IMO it would be much better to just have the logo and not the text.
