I have become a longislandwatch website "stalker". The variety is great, and the deals and sales on the watches have allowed me to keep my collection purchases under $1000. Sometimes I can buy 2 watches at once. Great watches for great price. I'd love to see more dial designs. New Bulova Frank Lloyd Wright collection is very interesting. Also like the retro look of antique watches, and art deco design (Bremour) are nice too. Keep up the great work.

Happy with the fit on this ISL-61. I was a bit a worried how this would look on my 6.75" wrist but couldn't be happier with the fit. I've no issues with the bracelet but prefer it on a NATO style strap. The bezel is a bit loose and unlike the other Islander divers with the normal lumed indices, the 61 does not have applied indices or indicators on the chapter ring (chapter ring is a shiny silver). This seems to be an accommodation made for the lumed dial. If I had caught this, I would have purchased the white dial with the applied lumed indices, the ISL-35. It's those little details, that in my opinion, make these Islander divers a great buy. That said, it isn't so big a deal that it affects my review and I have been happily wearing the ISL-61.

I am happy with the experience. I did quite a bit of research before making my purchase and I failed to catch that the ISL-61 did not have a matching chapter ring nor applied indices, like most other Islander divers. Maybe having that listed somewhere would help future buyers. That said, I'm not sure how big of a deal that is to other watch peeps. I also received a 20MM NATO instead of the 22MM NATO I ordered. I received my order on Saturday and replied to my order confirmation email (nice being able to reply to that email, easy peasy) the same day. And on that same day, a Saturday, I received a reply that a replacement strap would be sent out on Monday and it was. I was also allowed to keep the 20MM NATO I had mistakenly been shipped. We are all human and mistakes are a fact of life. Great customer service allows for honest mistakes to be overlooked. In fact, I wish I had mentioned that in my public review. I will see if I can go back and edit that. Overall, I'm very happy. I'm in the market for another watch and if that 1970 Dan Henry wasn't calling my name, I'd be all over that ISL-28. If the ISL-88 was in stock, that would trump the Dan Henry. I digress. Keep doing what you're doing.

A Seiko SKX with all the upgrades. Lume is so bright! The bracelet is to adjust because the screw links make is easy and the watch come with the screwdriver to do it.

A month ago or so I am online doing my research on a new watch. I am looking @ the Omega SeaMaster white dial. Or the new Oris Aquis. Durning my research I came across videos on Youtube with genuine man sitting on a coach passionate about his watches. It was nice watching someone that isn't wearing a 5k suit and talks to his viewership as people. So I took a chance and bought one of his watches. WOW, what can I say. For $300 this is a no brainer! It really ls a nice timepiece. I will wear any watch as long as I enjoy it no matter the brand. I am very happy with my purchase. I can honestly say I have not seen a watch at this price point this nice.

I purhased this watch expecting great legibility, which it certainly has! The lumed dial is not overpowering as I had feared; it does a great job of reporting the time without being obtrusive. A minor point, the hour and minute hands were intended to be lumed, and have been painted instead. The paint has left depressions in the hands. It is minor, but having noticed it, I can't "un-see" it!

Beautiful watch with nice upgraded parts. 2 problems I encountered, very loose bezel and the lume doesn't last as long as I thought it would through the night. My turtle with the same amount of exposure to light lasts much longer than the islander.

Marc really needs to update the lume pic on the web site for this watch. One where it is pitch black because the lume face in the dark is insane! The sapphire crystal has a chamfer on the outside which double reflects the black hour pips and lume alternating and gives it this "checkered finish line" type look on the perimeter of the crystal. In regular light the blacked out hands and hour pips just pop and you can see the time instantly. The ceramic bezel insert also just glows brilliantly with crisp minute markers. Sits well on my 6-3/4 wrist, doesn't look big even with a 1mm larger case than the 007 series. If you don't have a lume face watch in your collection, you have to get this one.

I had a Lorus (by Seiko) Lumibrite diver when I was 12 or 13 years old. The full lume dial was an awesome concept back then, just as it is now. The big difference is that with today's C3 Superluminova technology, the dial takes on much more of a creme color than the mint green appearance of the early Lumibrite dials. This is a welcomed change from the early days. The Islander just exudes quality, and I honestly enjoy it more than Divers I've owned that cost 4x as much. Mark and Random Rob knocked this one out of the park. Thanks to both of you!

I've always wanted a solid flashlight (fully luminous) diver, and the ISL-61 absolutely delivers. The Seiko compatible modability is an awesome bonus on top of an already great watch.

I have watches with good lume & one with tritium markers but none of them are as easy to read at a glance as this one. And the lume lasts all night. My tritium watch now sits on the dresser. I haven't had the best of luck with Seiko movements but so far this one is good & stable for a mechanical; gains about 40 seconds a week. The bracelet is good but all oyster style bracelets will pull hair on me. I changed it for a shark mesh bracelet & problem solved. Also, I've gotten more compliments on this watch in the two or three weeks I've worn it than others that I've worn for a year or more. I also love that the day isn't red on Sunday. I do like having the day as well as date but never cared for different colors on the days. Thank you Marc you did your homework on this one & it's well worth the price.
