I was looking for a high lum watch but wanted something other than a dive/Luminox style that I already have. I liked the aviator B style with its clean lines. The entire face is coated in Super Luminova so the hands form a shadow effect which works well. Natural UV light works much better than artificial. Watch gains about 2 mins every 3-4 days. Highly recommend this watch.

I ordered the watch on January 15th and by February 4th I had it in my hands in Tromsø in the extreme north of Norway. And when the watch itself more than meet my expectations, I simply cannot ask for more. I'm now a proud wearer of a true Islander! I feel that I'm part of a community.

I bought the Aviator as a Christmas present to myself. I was intrigued by the lume. The hands are un-lumed and they contrast with the totally lumped dial. This watch keeps good time and I havent had to adjust it much since the first week I owned it, and then it was just to get the time exactly where I wanted it. I bought a set of NATO straps to go with it and I am very satisfied with the look. I am thinking about buying the new Islander dress watch, because I am so happy with the performance of the Aviator. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with the Aviator,

I purchased the Islander Aviator watch as a follow up to my collection of Fortis and other aviation watches. I am extremely pleased with the Islander's performance. The face lume is extraordinarily bright and long lasting. The face markings and hands are sharp. The finish is very tasteful. I complemented the watch with a striped nylon band. The Island Aviator provides outstanding value for money and is a classic addition to any collection.

You can't beat the style and quality for the price! Is it a IWC Aviator - no, but it's not $5k either! Mine keeps time well, about a +2 sec/day. And the lume is really full and bright. Even the leather band looks and feels quality.

Once again, Marc and Long Island Watch have created a very solid and reliable watch. I've been wanting a pilot's watch like this for a while, but I'm glad I waited and got this one. The full-luminous dial is awesome!
