This is the answer a problem that many players have when using baroque bows. Many models have plain round sticks making holding the bow not without issues because of the wood being slippery, resulting in a possible firmer grip than desired.

I am a violinist with a great deal of arthritis in my right hand. I put these on the grip of my bow and it supplies great cushioning for my thumb.

Excellent thumb grips, I have used these for almost 15 years. Especially good if you get sweaty hands. They need replacing once in a while because they compress a little with use.

After one playing the sure grip became too loose on the bow stick. The bow is a bit smaller than normal, as it is a baroque cello bow.

A great product to make bow hold more comfortable, I like giving it to my students who struggle putting just the tip of the thumb next to the frog and tend to use too much pressure. Price feels a little high for a small product but I live pretty far from most music stores that have this or they sell out quickly so it was worth it for me to pay for shipping.

It was a little difficult to install on my bow, but it does provide a more comfortable grip. I have arthritis in my fingers and this does help give me a more secure grip.
