40+ years flying, and sometimes you just want a simple and light comm to hang on your belt. I live near the airport and get to say hello to all my pilot friends even if I'm just having coffee in the backyard. Or check AWOS and call for clearance before wind up the turbo. Handy, compact, light walkie-talkie. Specific purpose handheld with a good accessory package.

I've only had it for a few days so I'm still in the initial learning mode. That being said, I find that it's somewhat difficult to navigate through the menu and the users manual supplied isn't much help. Overall programing channels/memory is much more difficult than other handhelds I have owned.
