WE PURCHASED THIS GREENHOUSE OVER OTHERS BECAUSE OF THE INSULATION FACTOR AND THE ROOM INSIDE COMPARED TO THE OTHERS WE SAW ON THE INTERNET. WE HAVE 25 FRUIT BEARING TREES THAT WE BRING OUTDOORS FOR THE SUMMER BUT NEED TO BRING INDOORS FOR THE WINTER TIME. THE TREES ARE BETWEN 7 FT TO 3 FT TALL EACH AND CAN NOT FREEZE. SOME OF THESE TREES HAVE BEEN IN MY FAMILY FOR OVER 30 YEARS. THE SIZE IS PERFECT AND WITH 2 SMALL SPACE HEATERS AND SOME SUNLIGHT WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO USING THIS IN THE COMING WINTER. THE GREENHOUSE ITSELF IS VERY ATTRACTIVE AND WAS NOT DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE.

To review this product in a sentence: “The perfect way to get a head start on the growing season.” I have a medium-large lean-to greenhouse, 23'x10' totaling just above 2000 cubic ft internal. The walls are triple wall polycarbonate. with a 1.89-2.0 R value. We're up here in northern Wisconsin and the day I hooked this heater up it was about 18 degrees outside and cloudy. Within an hour of firing up it had the ambient air temp inside the greenhouse @ about 80 degrees. It has since been dialed back to a more reasonable growing/plant-starting temp of ~65 and once the concrete has warmed up to a 'maintain temp' level I expect very little temp variation between day/night. The hookup was quite simple; for my own peace of mind I had our propane rep make the connection in addition to the leak/pressure test that he would have been doing with any new installation. I added a freestanding 120gal tank (no additional rental charge for me, check with your propane service) just outside the greenhouse; this meant no trenching or long lines to run. The wall mount ability of the heater also helped keep the fuel line (copper tubing) tidy. Anyone familiar with LP hookups will breeze through this setup, otherwise I believe most propane reps would do it for a minimal charge. I realize that 30,000 BTU is a bit of overkill for my internal space, but Wisconsin winters being what they are, and with the hope for future expansion, I'm glad I did it. The rapid heat response will come in handy for the inevitable sharp outside temp drops. I was originally considering a pellet stove to heat both the greenhouse and the garage it's attached to, but since I don't actually need to heat the garage area I'm glad I found this alternative, saving me both on base unit cost and the hassle of having to keep refilling the pellet hopper (One pellet stove already in the house and one in the shop, that's enough of that). So all the way around; setup, operation, and cost worked out extremely well with this unit. To sum up: “I couldn't be happier.”

My wife and I like this greenhouse kit because of the excellent instructional video, the way each piece of the kit is labeled, and the use of redwood which is much easier for us to work with than metal. It arrived in seven labeled boxes, which we had to cart from our front driveway to the back yard. The boxes are large and heavy. We're 67, but we did manage to do it. There were no parts missing, and nothing was damaged or broken. We are impressed with the strength of the translucent panels. We had planned to put the "base" that is supplied with the kit directly on the ground. However, our yard slopes, and we couldn't get the base square and level. We hired a cedar deck built, an extra expense, but we like the deck very much. The instruction booklet that comes with this kit is awful. The photos are small, dark and show no detail. There are errors that took some phone calls to clear up. However, the company provides excellent help by telephone and email, so we put the booklet aside and ran in and out of the house a lot to watch the video. The four automatic vents represent a nice piece of technology that requires no electricity and are fairly simple to install. Our neighbor bought an aluminum greenhouse kit that was half the cost of ours. It came with a huge instruction BOOK (no video) that is unclear and tedious. None of the parts and none of the boxes were labeled. Some parts were missing. Our kit was much more organized and user friendly. The Mt. Ranier kit was made in Washington state—not China! We expect to enjoy it for many years.
