Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. i waited months from when I ordered to receive the greenhouse. upon receipt, FedEx had punctured the glass crate destroying all the glass. i was advised by Santa Barbara Greenhouses to accept this shipment as is and they would ship me another crate of glass. after 2 weeks I find out that they have done nothing. they did not make a claim with Fedex and did not ship me any replacement crate of glass. Tired of waiting, i had a local glass company make the glass for me. SB refused to make a claim to Fedex to reimburse me and told me it was my problem. I hired a contractor/carpenter to build the greenhouse for me. he found the entire run of wood cross beams in the roof were cut 3 inches too short. I called SB and they defensively said ghey dont make mistakes like that and once again told me it was my problem. Other problems with the kit were; the door frame was a inch too short for the door and made for the opposite side of the GH than I ordered from them. Their is no where to install the fan as no wood frame parts were accounted for nor was there a cut out in the wall. Get this, they haven't updated the directions in 30 yrs and are as clear as mud. only a very talented, finishing carpenter to figure out this kit. All in all, the greenhouse was built but cost me almost $2000 in local glass and wood replacements and an extra $2000 in labor cost. I would never recommend to anyone that the buy from this company. NOT because of the mistakes and damages. That can happen to any company. I wouldn't buy from them because how the treat their customers after the sale. You can't count on them to make anything right or to do anything to make sure you get what you paid for. They are the very example of the worst customer service you could ever receive in a retail transaction. BUYERS BE WARE!!!!
