My son and I fished with Cpn Cliff in August (2016), which can be a slow month for fishing in Florida. But my son's birthday is that month so that'a how we celebrate.
We caught fish, and had a great time as well with Cliff. He made the entire trip easy, and was patient when we lost a fish (several) so the mood always stayed light and you were ready for the next chance.
We caught bonito, a black grouper, and several snook. We teased some sharks, offshore, into a feeding frenzy with fresh bait, until we had a dozen or so of various species thrashing around-quite a show !
As we didn't come equipped for serious shark fishing, and several of these husky beasts would have occupied most of the trip if we had hooked one, we moved on.
We finished the afternoon with several snook, which were somewhat slow to feed but abundant (several dozen or more with good size).
A good solid day, with great conversation, hard work, and support from Cliff.
