I haven't had it installed yet, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. However, the online ordering process was easy and convenient.

I am little confused as to which tank is filter and which tank is softerner. One tank labelled 056358. The other one is 056359. Is 056358 the filtration tank? Also the sleeve on the 056359 is lose. I am the sleeve on the 056358 is tide and will not move up and down whereas the 056358 move up and down. I am worry it will give me problem in future when I do exchange material. Is this normal. I can sent picture if needed. Thanks Joe

Only after three days I can notice a difference. I no longer use lotion when getting out of the shower. Water smells and tastes better than before and the kicker is the 20 inch pre filter. My faucets and shower heads would clog up every couple weeks. Now, I just change out the pre filter insert. Thank you Filter Smart....

Tanks arrived on schedule and with a large dent in one of the stainless steel covers. Technical service talked me through removing the cover and inspecting the inside tank for damage. The inner tank was fine, I pounded out the dent in the decorative stainless and put the dent towards the wall. Soaked the system and flushed it as required prior to install but still got some grey water for the first 50 or 60 gallons then it cleared up. Had a plumber do the install and the system seems to be working fine. Water tastes like bottled water verses the nasty city water chemical taste we had before. As indicated the system doesn't remove the hard water particles so don't expect traditional softened water feel and suds, but the water does feel a little better on your skin in the shower and no chemical smell when showering. Overall a nice system and the low maintenance and NO salt bags makes this a very nice option to a traditional water softener. Customer service is great with this company. I looked at a competitor that is located closer to us in Florida but their prices were higher and their customer service ratings were terrible. The plumber who installed this system usually installs the competition's system and he was very pleased with the components and build of the FilterSmart system.

Only four stars due to shipping, need to improve packaging, chrome covers for filters are dented in several places and come crooked on bases which you can somewhat level if you take them off and replace them on tanks. I have yet to completely install units so not able to see results yet. Overall appearance not impressive but ok and hopefully it will make improvements to my water. The system comes very basic and you will need extensive parts to complete job, so keep in mind of location in regards to incoming water line.
