Absolutely love visiting the Filmtools store when I'm down in Burbank.
Their website is pretty good, though I wish they had more photos of the products from different angles and in situations where the products are actually used.
The purchasing process is easy enough, and I definitely check out their products and availability when I need any kind of grip gear.

The key word in describing these mini Cardeliini clamps is "mini". They are useful for small, light-weight clamping jobs, but have several drawbacks. The biggest drawback is the diameter of the pin - it's only 0.37" (9.5mm), so attaching a fixture with a standard 5/8" socket, is a kludge at best. But it does have a 1/4"-20 threaded hole in the end of the pin, which increases the number of uses it might have. It's also worth noting that the largest opening of the jaws in 2", which is large enough for most small clamping needs. Unlike the larger Cardellini clamps, the moveable jaw rotates, which can make clamping with one hand, more awkward - though not impossible. On the plus side, they seem solidly built and are 'mini enough' to easily store in your tool box or grip bag. Overall the Film tools "2 for 1" deal on these clamps was a good buy.

Lightweight and surprisingly sturdy. Using to hold a microphone boom, and I trust it above VIP talent for up to 2 metre booms. Much lighter for than a solid metal grip head, so it's great for travel

I've always used Verbatim media because I've found them to be of the highest quality, and their DataLifePlus line because I want my data to be secure for a long period of time. I also don't need printable discs, so I prefer the shiny surface ones.

I was extremely happy to find these Verbatim DataLifePlus Shiny Silver DVDs were available from Filmtools! I've used them for years, but when I tried to reorder them from 3 different sellers last year I was told they were unavailable. It was a great relief when my order from Filmtools was confirmed, and when it promptly arrived.
