I had expected the plaque to lay more flat on the cane shaft. It stands slightly proud of the surface. I don't know if I'll get one for my next cane.

The engraving is attractive, but I wish the brass on the plaque was the same color as the brass collar on the cane. The plaque is yellow-ish, and the collar is red-ish, and they are only about an inch apart, so the color difference is very noticeable.
