I bought this for my 10-yr old's first overnight camp. The beautiful purple finish seems very durable. The size will work for years, well into college for storage and as a coffee table.\nThere were some dents in the metal edges, but not worth the hassle of sending it back and I assume it will get more dings at camp, anyway.

Awesome trunk, well made, sturdy and so colorful Daughters first year at away camp and she was so excited when her trunk arrived. She immediately started putting things in it.

My husband and I got this for our daughter to take to residential summer camp. In addition to several weeks of clothing, toiletries, various footwear, and jackets, she also must take bed linens, blankets, her pillow, and a towel. This one will hold it all. Be sure and get the wheels; they snap off when you need the trunk to sit flat, and make a big difference in moving the trunk around. In addition to being so useful, our trunk is also quite pretty. We got the teal with chrome trim, and it looks great with her bedroom decor. It will be in her room year-round. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Bought this to replace the budget trunk my daughter has taken to camp for the past four years. This one is built like a tank compared to the old one. We got the wheel set to help with transport and are excited about using it this summer.

My daughter is storing her things that she is gathering for college (fall 2015). She lives the color and it has a pretty pattern on the inside. We will definitely buy another in a different size if we need to use it in her dorm.

Bought for my son's dorm room. The one he had last year fell apart. This one has no chance of that. Strong, sturdy and will go well as a table in his dorm and beyond

My son loves his footlocker! I ordered him the black one & he covered it in stickers. It looks awesome. It made packing for college simple & looks great in his dorm room. He can lock up valuables in it if needed as well!

One of the locks does not close properly, but we're keeping it as it would be too troublesome to return it.

Perfect for three weeks of camp! Plenty of space and I'm looking forward to how happy she was at camp with her super cool new trunk! Her brother got one look at her new trunk and had to have one too!

We had bought a "cheap" trunk from a local place a few years ago and it only held up for two seasons. The UnderGrad Footlocker Trunk #1103 is fantastic. Well built and sturdy construction that should last for a very long time.

I can't give this more than four stars because we just received it and it hasn't really been used yet, so as far as long-term use, I can't yet say. I will try and update at a later date, though. As far as our initial impression, the trunk is VERY well constructed, lined, and protected. We love the size and think it work perfectly for college...for storage, as a table, or to sit on, if she so desires. I predict it will hold up well against the abuse facing it in the years to come, and am glad we invested in it!

This is the third trunk I have ordered as a gift for a high school graduate. The trunks go to college, become great storage, and are used as end tables or extra seating. I can't say enough great things about the trunks. A fantastic product for a very reasonable price.
