Our cat caught on quickly. It was hard for him to figure out how to push through as this door has stronger magnets keeping it closed. We showed him treats and he was adamant too push through. We left it on "open" for a couple days so that he could just walk through without as much resistance and when we felt he had the hang of it, we put it on microchip settings and he is doing great. I feel secure that other animals cannot get in and he can come and go.

I love the SureFlap SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder. I have 6 cats with one of the kitties being overweight/obese. It was impossible to feed all cats separately until I came across this. I bought three feeders to ensure my one cat eats the recommended amount of food for weight loss. The other two are for the other kitties to share and eat throughout the day. It also has helped preventing my dog eating all of the cat food. I also want to mention how easy it was to set everything up. My cats were trained in one week using the 4 training modes. I have a cat who is very skiddish and I was afraid he wouldn't be able to adapt to the feeder since the flap makes a little noise when opening and closing; however, he adjusted to the feeder as quickly as the other kitties did. They really enjoy the feeders and seem to be very intrigued when it opens up for them:) This is an incredible invention and I am so thankful to have found it. I now have peace of mind that my chubby kitty won't turn into a diabetic and have the long term problems associated with diabetes. I wouldn't have been able to do this without the feeders.

I no longer have to play referee during meal time! I'm confident now that my cat who is on oral medication and special food is now getting all of his meds, and my other cat can finally go back on his diet! It took no time at all to get the feeders synced up with their microchips and I was lucky enough that it didn't take long for both of my cats understood how they worked.

Got what I ordered for a good price but needed to call to confirm and USPS was quite slow to deliver although for me it didn't matter because I won't install the pet door for another couple of weeks.

I ordered the wrong size...this pet door, while very good looking, is far too large. How do I return!

This pet door is fantastic in many ways, and I really like that it works on the cats RFID tag instead of a magnet hanging from the cats collar, which the cat seems to lose regularly.

The more I use it the more features I find, like the ability to set it for free access in and out, or total closure, or longer or shorter access times once it has been triggered.

So far, this door has been designed to do everything that I might want to do, and many things that I never conceive before that I might want to do. It even detects persistent attempts by unauthorized intruders and temporarily locks the door from both directions.

I highly recommend this pet door to anyone who needs controlled access for their small pet.

This is a great feeder. Our cats already had microchips and the feeder scanned them in. This is perfect for keeping the fat cat from getting the skinny cat food! We have 2 now, may get a third!

I was very excited about getting the microchip feeder for my skinny cat and stop my fat cat from eating her food. The training went well initially and the skinny cat was eating from the bowl in the feeder but when I started the lid training, she got frightened with the movement (she encountered it by mistake) and the flashing orange light indicating the level of training frightens her out so she won't feed from it any more. I put the feeder away and she is now eating only out of the bowl. But for a rescue kitty and somewhat skittish, I'm thinking she will not get used to the feeder. If there was some way to turn off the flashing lights, this would help a lot. I'm going to check the return policy because $149.95 is a lot to pay for my cat not using it.
