I had to pick up the item from a nearby shop in the evening rather than it being delivered home by the promised 11am, which was very inconvenient.

Printer is supplied with black on white tape the maximum font size is 12 point. On 12mm tape which you have to purchase separately you get a much bigger range of fonts

Postage cost of £12.99 is an absolute disgrace. One tape was delivered by Royal Mail the rest came by courier. All could have been sent by Royal Mail for £4.45 . Royal Mail do not charge extra to deliver to any part of the country so why do you?

Hello, you may consider it a "disgrace", but you live in the remote highlands & islands of Scotland and DPD charge extra due to your remote location.
We do not make any profit on the delivery charge, and we are also not happy that we are charged this much for remote locations, but it is what it is - they will not give us a lower rate.
The delivery charge is made clear in the basket, and you accepted this when you placed the order. Not sure why you ordered from us if you disagreed with the charge?
The reason the order was shipped in two packages was that they were shipped from two locations, and our main location only ships by DPD - Royal Mail is simply not an option.
As for your question on why we charge £12.99 for Highlands and Islands where-as Royal mail don't, that is simple - Royal Mail are legally obligated to charge the same price for the whole of UK as a requirement of their mail monopoly. DPD and other couriers on the other hand charge extra for remote regions for the obvious reason that it costs more to deliver there. If they have to drive to the middle of nowhere to deliver one parcel that obviously costs a lot more than delivering a van full of parcels to somewhere nearer in the same time frame.
