"The item I ordered wasn't manufactured by DR. The service representative with whom I spoke at the phone # given on the DR website (very nice/polite) did not know the specs of the tool, and when asking a supervisor on my behalf did not get the specs. She told me he 'guessed' it was such and such a dimension. I was then referred to the manufacturer - told that I could get the information from them! It is my conviction that when you're selling something to retail customers, you should know the product well or be able - in a relatively quick turn-around - to get the information which is important to the customer. As it was, I then needed to take my important time to contact the manufacturer to learn what the specs were. This really isn't acceptable, as it presumes that the seller's time is more important than mine. Customer service has always included the fact that the seller is there to help solve problems/provided a wanted or needed product or service and, as such, includes product knowledge - not referring the customer to the manufacturer and expecting them to do additional work, taking additional time of theirs, to have questions answered so they can purchase the item from the company which didn't have the answer (what's wrong with this picture?). Car sales(wo)men would be in trouble if they couldn't answer questions for the customer in the showroom (or in the case of my order, on the phone) and, instead, told them to call General Motors. I think there needs to be training of your sales folks in this regard. Good service comes from the top - down to the sales people. If you're not training for it, you can't expect the salespeople to be acculturated to this paradigm. In my experience of the customer/seller transaction with DR today, upper management has some work to do."

"I wished you would consider shipping via USPS. We live in the country and Fedex and UPS just throw product over the gate if they deliver it at all. Post office is much better for us."
