I find DirectTextbook.com to be similar to Amazon.com in its ability to find books, and superior in showing me what versions of a book I can buy (e.g., good/very good/new) at what price. Once I've made a decision, buying the specified copy of the book - from whatever vendor is offering it - is trivial. Post-purchase tracking of the book as it finds its way to me is trivial: I get emails detailing where it is in the process.

Direct Textbook is a great way to search for college books. Get the ISBN for the book you need and search it on this website. You can find used, new, and ebook from a variety of retailers. This makes it so you are not stuck paying an insane amount for a book from your school. Plus, you can get cash back on certain purchases. Who doesn't like a little return after a textbook purchase?

Having to sign in multiple times is frustrating, which has been my experience. Another issue is I received a promotion in email and when I clicked link to activate/use it was not applied to my purchase. I didn't reach out to direct text book since my son needed the book and couldn't wait and chances were book would have been sold. It is nice to see multiple listing and be able to make choice versus visiting every possible seller. However, some results are not accurate, not clear how frequently they update their data. I am still new to this service/web site so I am future interactions are more positive.
