Dan's Fan City was started in 1979, by Dan Hibbeln Sr. and his partner Georgia Wood in Clearwater, Florida. On many trips from his native state of Michigan, he noted the growing interest in ceiling fans being used to help cool the home and combat the energy crisis. The very first location in Clearwater, FL was opened the day after Thanksgiving and is still in operation today. Within 4-months it became necessary to open a 2nd location in Seminole, FL which is also still in operation. Dan's Fan City continues to grow today and currently operates 44-stores throughout a 7 state area as well as placement in select lighting showrooms throughout the country and via online channels that ships product worldwide.

High Quality product with the look we were looking for. Everything that is on the market now is sterile and gereric looking. I was very happy to find Dan's fans where we could order what we wanted. Thy provide fast shipping. I don't think I waited more than 5 days and it was installed the same day. We are very happy!

The remote works fine but incorporating it in the fan itself was very wonky. We even went back to the store to see if we were missing something but we weren't....it just had to be taped into the fan and if it falls it will fall into the motor.

The fan was delivered to the wrong address. The recipient, one street over, contacted me so I was able to retrieve it. More the fault of FedEx than Dan's Fans.

Easy to install and operate. This room has a high ceiling and I used to get on a short ladder to operate the speed control chain. Now I can do it from the couch.

The fan, blades and light kit came in three boxes. It is for a room currently under construction. We have not opened the boxes yet and it will be another 30 days before we are ready for the electrician to install it.

The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the balance problem. I tried to balance it with the included hardware but it wouldn't work. Went on line for a better approach and it worked. All is well now.

The first extension rod arrived by Fed Ex out of the box and with considerable scratches. Dan's replaced it right away.
