Years ago I bought one for my mom's cane. She used it a LOT! It mounts by spreading the two spring tensioned jaws apart to insert the cane shaft. The lower pad can rest on counter tops to hang the cane. If a table is too low to hang the cane, just slide the device down the cane below the table top, then back up to capture the cane between the table and floor (against the upper pad.) I recommended this to a friend a couple days ago, so I looked it up and just sent him the link. Now that I think about it... 4 of these would be usefull for a pair of crutches that insist on sliding to the floor.
