Trust me, it won't be too much to say that this is probably the best bike shop on Earth!
I ordered my bike in January and received it in September due to bike shortages affecting the cycling industry. However, this wasn't an issue for me as I was aware of it before placing the order and still had my old bike to ride.
Throughout the waiting period, Paul and his team responded to all my queries in a timely manner and their responses were always very detailed and well explained. One can definitely tell how passionate Paul and his team are about cycling.
I really felt like Paul and his team are striving to make sure all customers are happy and treated more nicely than they could expect!
When I popped into to the shop, I was warmly greeted and then ushered to the place where the bike I ordered was. I was given a full presentation of the bike which made me feel I was at the Harrods equivalent of bike shops! They also gave me some tips and precious advice.
I also had a good chat with Paul and some of his staff. They all come across as SO knowledgeable, SO passionate, SO warm and nice and SO devoted to customers.
If you are passionate about cycling like I am, I would say that this is the bike shop of any cyclist's dreams.

First came across criterium cycles whilst staying with my son who lives in Edinburgh.When i came home i found we had a local criterium cycles at Bakewell in Derbyshire.I went down on the Saturday ordered a Trek Dual Sport 2 to ride on my local trails, it arrived on the following Wednesday,ready to pick up on the Thursday. Great service ,really helpful and nothing is too much trouble !! Thank you criterium

Expert advice and fitting. Bike developed a minor issue after a weeks riding. Criterium visited me at home to effect a cable replacement (a round trip for them of 200miles). Outstanding from them. Happy in every way with the shop, their customer service and my new bike.

This is the second time that I have purchased a bike from the Criterium Cycles store in Edinburgh. Like the first time the service and advice was excellent. In particular the follow-up from Paul and Keith on my queries was perfect. Overall I am extremely happy, the bike was in excellent condition and assembled well, the quick service was also brilliant. It has been a pleasure purchasing from Criterium Cycles. I was invited to view in the Bakewell shop shortly after closing time and had an enjoyable and informative conversation with the owner and the bike technician. I did some further research and decided the bike I had seen would be suitable for my commute and purchased online. The bike was delivered today. The handover by Richard was excellent - he explained in detail all the key features of the bike and made sure that everything was in order. I would highly recommend Criterium Cycles.

I've been riding bikes for nearly all my life with a brief exception being in service and away on Ops.
I stumbled onto Criterium Cycles but I'm certainly glad I did. I bought a Trek Slash 8 2022 through the C2W scheme. I subsequently found out that bike shops lose up to 15% on C2W purchase which is surprising to hear and this was entirely separate from Criterium Cycles (at no point was it mentioned by anyone here) yet the family run business gave me the same kind of service they give to all their customers; which is simply another level from all other bike shops I've ever used to date.
Advices' and assistance are second to none! Many times I was told 'any problems just calls us, we'll take care of it'. What more can you ask?
I was expecting a courier delivery as work meant I couldn't get down to Edinburgh to pick up my bike for a couple of weeks. However, Criterium Cycles provide such a personal service that I was offered some dates that would suit delivery and the owner, Paul, personally delivered my new bike and spent a good while talking through everything on the Trek and some of its 'isms'. As we looked over my bike I noticed a small scratch on the dropper post. Paul took a picture, made a note of it on the delivery acceptance form and said he'd get a new post from Trek sent up asap. True to his word a new post arrived a week later. This kind of service and support is better than buying a car! Of course, I'll be a loyal customer for years to come as I know any issues, problems or bike needs will be met with the same passion as my own.

The sales staff were very knowledgeable and help us select the appropriate electric mountain bike for both my wife and myself. Both bikes were in stock and delivered directly by Criterium to our house where we were given detailed instructions on the operation and care and maintenance. First class service all round.
