This warmer works very well with a good range of temperature settings. The material is comfortable and the size is perfect for use as a warming pad at the bottom of a bed. I use with a wifi enabled smart plug to turnoff at a desired time but for some an option to have the switch provide a built in timer function would I think be useful.

Purchased to replace another foot warmer. This one is far larger and does not cut off after two hours. My husband likes much better. The only downside is the high cost of shipping. Unnecessary in today’s on-line environment.

As a footwarmer the product works. But in my opinion it has two major flaws and a minor one. First. I ordered this particular product because it said there was a 15-foot cord (180 inches). I wanted it be both hidden from view, but more importantly, to be out of the way of any body parts that could get tangled in it. With a cord length of 15 feet, I expected to easily run the cord down either the side or the front of the mattress (depending on where the cord exited the pad), under the mattress between it and the bed slats, and to the outlet. I anticipated I'd need about 30 inches plus 80 inches, plus another 10 inches for the controls. That's 15 inches down the side of the mattress from the pad, 80 inches for the length of the mattress, 15 inches back up again on the other end of the mattress, and about 10 inches for the controls to be placed on the top surface of the mattress for the controls to sit near my pillow. A total of 120 inches. If that was about right, then the distance of the controls to the electrical source would need about 60 inches. However, when I set it up on the bed, here's what I experienced. Rather than the female end of the cord (what's attached to the pad) being on what would be the bottom of the pad, so that the cord could snake down the front of the mattress, it is on one side; the left side when you are facing the bed from the foot. I happen to sleep on the right side of the bed, so ideally it would be on the right. But since the female receptacle and male cord end are rigid, the cord has to make an L-shaped bend to go down the front of the bed. (If I put it going across the top of the mattress and down the left side of the bed, I'd need another 24 inches of cord to go across the left top of the mattress. There isn't enough cord to allow that.) As it is, the cord barely clears the mattress to allow the controls to sit on top of the mattress near my pillow. Unlike the cord configuration of most electric blankets, which have two cords going into the controls, this cord is one continuous cord with the cord passing through the controls. There is sufficient cord from the controls to the electrical source. But in my mind, a more conventional cord configuration would have been a better design. I had to have help to set up the pad and would have get that help again and go to a lot of trouble to remove and measure the entire cord to see if it is the advertised 15 feet (can't see any reason it wouldn't be), but I am curious as what the measurements are from the male-connector to the controls, and from the controls to the electrical plug. Second design problem: The material the pad is made from is nice and soft, but the bottom of the pocket into which you put your feet is more rigid that the top. It's lined and the inner materials are stiffer. The top portion is a single layer. It is about 3/4 of the width (top to bottom) of the bottom portion. It is almost impossible to get your feet into the pocket because the cord length limits how "high" in the bed you can position the pad AND because the top is so loose you are likely to push it further away from you, trying to get your feet into the pocket. I either have to remove enough of the top sheet and blanket to reach down and hold the pocket open, or keep wiggling my feet trying and retrying to get them into the pocket. Last, the pad is bulky enough AND ruffles up so that it creates lumps, making the foot of the bed look like there's something strange and bulky under the spread. It's not tidy at all. No amount of futzing with it gives it a tidy look. So while the pad does what it's intended to do and warms one's feet, it's design is poor, in my opinion. I looked at several similar products before buying this one. This was the best of all I saw out there. With the struggles I am having with it, I not sure I won't end up just sleeping with socks.

The product overall does deliver warmth in a comfortable blanket. I think there’s room for product design improvement to keep the material from sliding around in bed and distributing the heat evenly across the entire blanket.
