I bought these for my daughter heading into our State Finals so she would have a fresh snappy string. They give a fast, smooth, tight tie. We use the hard and they are nice and zippy. You just can't beat Rattler brand!! I highly recommend them to any level competitor.

I wanted it to put under a closed cell foam pad but think is too thin and not of the quality I was hoping for.

I bought this pad a year ago and I really love it! Unfortunatley though, the felt layers have come apart somehow, exposing the foam mid layer. I have kept it in the barn and I suspect it might be due to moisture, but since it should be able to be used on a sweaty horse it seems a bit unlikely. Other than that (and it is easily fixed with a few stitches) it is a great saddle pad!
