There were some bad reviews mostly about merchandise being damaged upon delivery. And a few about customer service. But I had none of those issues. My salesman Fred was excellent. His knowledge and willingness to help is excellent. As for the delivery, I don't know what carrier delivered the merchandise with all the complaints. But Old Dominion delivered mine and it was in mint condition. They went above and beyond to assist a customer with a crazy schedule.

The unit ordered on May 2 arrived from the shipping carrier damaged and was refused. Had to reorder another one, which Budget worked with us on getting it out at our convenience.

Sometimes it's best to call and speak with a sales person to order instead of placing the order on line. Was advised by the sales person to inspect the unit upon delivery before the carrier left and if there was any damage to the unit to refuse it. Upon inspection, the unit was indeed damaged by the carrier. Budget assisted in every step of the way by shipping another unit. Other than the delay in time for receipt of the second unit, which was not Budget's fault, we would purchase another unit from them again. As a matter of fact, this was our second purchase!

I was very grateful the item arrived sooner than expected as that evening it was probably the coldest evening of the year. The heat strip worked perfectly out of the box. I don't recommend an inexperienced person to attempt to install this item. Even though it was basically plug and play in my scenario, the instructions weren't quite clear to me as to how to connect the main power supply. I have general knowledge of electricity and used my best judgement to how and where to connect the power to the heat strip transformer. A local HVAC company wanted to charge me $499 plus labor for their heat strip, so I saved a bit of money here. Thank you again for your prompt service!
