I wanted to move from a plain black Dexter Pro Am II to a more "sneaker" bowling shoe, and these looked like they would be okay. After removing from box and tying, the lace keeper on the tongue of one shoe pulled away from the threading. Upon my first approach, the slide shoe STUCK due to the heel material and I nearly broken my arm on the subsequent collapse on the lane. As I didn't want to do anything to the shoe to affect it for a return, I put the shoes away and went back to the Dexters. These are not ready for out of the box use, and anything you do to them to "break them in" will void the ability to return. So be careful. If this is not the shoe you want, don't order it. If you are willing to try to break them in, then maybe they are the shoe for you. I will stick with my Dexters, though.
