Storm Summit - strong symmetric hybrid

The Summit is Storm’s strongest symmetric ball - a strong ball is a core that spins up early front to back, not necessarily a ball that hooks a lot right to left. Historically, I haven’t gotten along well with balls that roll early - I’ve always preferred shiny pearls and hybrids, I wanted to give the new A.I. (Amplified Inertia) core a chance. The A.I. core is supposed to carry off hits better - and who doesn’t want to carry more! I can’t confirm that it makes a difference, but it definitely feels like it. I drilled the Summit 5 x 4 x 2 1/2. One thing I have noticed about the Summit is that it does lane shine pretty quickly - and that’s not a bad thing, it helps me get the ball a bit further down the lane, but still retains the smooth, controllable motion. Check out the ball motion review I posted on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kl7dlIRkhkQ. My Specs - Speed - 16 mph, Rev Rate - 315. PAP 5 1/8 x 7/8 Up.

Strong and Usable.

Sam Cooper. Roto Grip Amateur Staffer. Layout 50x5.5x40. When I got this ball, you could just tell it was going to hook. I first tested it out on a beat-up house shot just to get some oil on the cover. I did have to keep moving my feet left but I also noticed that the ball never stopped hooking or "burned up". Next, I tested it on some longer patterns with some volume. This ball had no problem reading the mid lane and continuing through the back of the pin deck. In my one league we bowl on the Kegal Chromium oil pattern(42ft). The team we were bowling likes to throw urethane on this pattern. I thought to myself, lets test out the Summit with the urethane carry down. I am going to keep this in the memory banks because the ball looked amazing despite the carry down on the pair. For as big and strong as this ball is it is surprisingly usable. I am impressed and knew it would be a great tournament ball. In terms of comparing it to other balls in the line it is stronger than a phase 2 but less than bigger asymmetrical like the Gem's . Not to mention the noticeable hitting power at the pins!

Storm Summit Review (14#)

The Summit is a very strong symmetrical piece from Storm. I got this ball as a step up from the Phaze 2. After throwing it for a couple weeks, I was extremely pleased with the way the ball reads the mid-lane and its ability to kick out the corners on "off" hits. I think the key with the Summit is adjusting its surface to fit your game. I touched mine with 2000 and finished it with Storm's step 2 to match up with my mid range speed and rev rate. Layout: 5x4x3 Pap: 5'' right 1/2'' up.

Storm Summit Ball Review by PJ Haggerty

The strongest symmetrical ball to date from Storm. Summit. Featuring a new core (Amplified Inertia) along with the Centripetal weight block, the Summit reads the lane early, often and pounds the pins with authority. With an extremely low RG (2.46) and high differential (.056), this ball is extremely strong and is designed for those conditions with extreme amounts of oil. It has certainly lived up to its hype thus far and I’m impressed. It’s been in my tournament bag since I’ve been able to drill it and its earned a consistent spot for now. I’ve drilled two so far and really like both. The one I’ve had the most success with is mapped out as 5.5 x 4 x 2. This puts the pin just to the left of my bridge along with a kicked CG. Also, I’ve let the lane oil shine the surface, so it looks somewhat shiny, but I wanted to keep the original teeth in the cover so I didn’t use any polish. When the asymmetrical balls don’t look great, the Summit is my go-to. I’ve mainly used it when I’ve had to create some angle and go left-to-right with it, but it’s been perfect for house shots. It’s not too quick off the friction and it picks up in the middle if I miss in. The situation is the same for tournament conditions too. It’s been a staple in my bag. If you need a strong, benchmark type ball that can be used on multiple patterns and compliments the asymmetrical pieces in your bag, go drill a Summit! #StormNation

Storm Summit by Sandra McIntire

I am a higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Storm Summit 5 x 3 x 2 using the Storm VLS and my axis point is 3 ¼ right and 7/8 up. The Storm Summit is a big symmetrical piece that I loved using on medium to heavy oil especially on my sport shot league. It was early and smooth and helped me control the backend and transition. Not to mention the lower RG and High Diff is a ball I definitely gravitate towards and could not put down. If you like a ball that spins up fast and a lot this is the ball for you! My YouTube video of the ball can be found at: https://youtu.be/WYvngUn7vGE?si=7yZXbJmUPTl3K6Vl

Strong Powerful Ball

With this ball being claimed to be Storm's strongest ball to date, I figured I'd go with my typical dual angle layout 50x4x30 really didn't want to get to crazy with this one knowing its going to be something similar to the Axiom. I've used this ball on a typical house pattern and really seems to blend the pattern well it rolls early but is nothing crazy down lane. The strong part comes form how early this ball wants to get in to a roll. This piece will be user friendly on a lot of conditions and lot of styles. Storm Summit review by Chris Pollentier

Storm Summit Coverstock: TX-23 Hybrid Reactive Finish: 3000-Grit Abralon Core: Centripetal HD – A.I. RG: 2.46, Diff: 0.056 (15 lb.) VLS Layout: 5 x 5 x 2 3/4 Dual Angle Layout: 65 x 5 x 40 PAP: 5 3/16” right x 5/8” up Rev rate: 400 rpm Average speed: 16.5 mph Location: Prairie Lanes, Sun Prairie WI Pattern: Medium volume THS The Summit is Storm’s new addition to the master line and is the strongest symmetrical ball to date thanks to new core and cover designs. First, the core features the Centripetal HD core that was most recently in the Super Son!Q and paired it with an all-new Amplified Inertia (A.I.) outer core. The cover features the new TX-23 hybrid coverstock, which is a modernized variation of the TX-16 cover found on the infamous Phaze II. This new core/cover combo creates an early rolling, high flaring ball designed to produce an increased amount of midlane read with a strong, yet controlled, backend reaction. With the Storm Summit, I’ve seen early and continuous ball motion that reminiscent of a stronger Phaze II, but probably better compares to the Storm Axiom. I’ve left the Summit at the factory finish of 3000-grit Abralon and it gives me a very strong and versatile reaction which can be great for blending out over/under league conditions, but still provides a stronger backend motion that will drive through the pins and help to carry those off-pocket hits. For me, the Summit fits nicely in an arsenal between balls like the Storm DNA and Phaze II. While it’s certainly great versatile ball for league bowlers, the Summit is a can’t-miss ball for tournament players as it provides a strong and stable ball motion throughout the lane from front to back that will keep you in the pocket on challenging conditions. It’s a great option to use on longer/heavier volume patterns after bigger asymmetrical balls start burning up, but you still need a stronger rolling and predictable ball reaction. Storm Summit

The new storm summit features Centripetal HD weight block is surrounded by the ALL-NEW A.I. (Amplified Inertia) outer core. This new combination drives the RG down and the differential up ensuring this ball spins up fast and a lot! Paired with the TX-23 .The layout i used on my summit was 4.75x4.75x2 using VLS or Dual Angle 60x4.75x30. Here's how the summit fits in my arsenal.I have it right between my Storm DNA and Phaze 2. The Summit responds to friction faster than Phaze 2 so when Phaze 2 won't make the corner the summit will be a great choice. The Summit will allow you to open up your angles and still have a good motion downlane.

Strom Summit

Storm Summit Featuring the Centripetal HD weight block is surrounded by the ALL-NEW A.I. outer core. My Layout for this was a 5 ¼ x 5 x 3 Storm pin buffer system. For me this ball was clean through the front read the midlane not to aggressive and had mid to strong finish on the back. This ball absolutely destroys the pins its scary. Def a bench mark ball for sure. This asymmetrical is great on the fresh as well on the mess because of its predictable and smooth overall reaction. I am comfortable playing all angles with this ball not having to worry about carry

Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.

As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:

Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.

Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
