Coverstock: Micro Trax Pearl Reactive Core: Mentor™ symmetric core Finish: Reacta Gloss Factory Finish RG: 2.53 (14lb) Differential: 0.047 (14 lb) Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin over Bridge 5 1/8 Pin to Pap 2 1/2 Pin Buffer Roto Grip's New HP3 offering is called the DUO. They've used the Micro Trax Pearl ball that was featured so successfully on the Exotic Gem with a new core called Mentor. This bulby core shape is a throwback to balls like the Dare Devil. It gives the HP3 line a ball that I feel gives you a more noticeable difference from the HP4 line than the Idol series did. The Duo is also a collaboration with the "Shafanie" duo of Shannon Okeefe and Stephanie Johnson and with an organization that they are very close to: Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The result of this collaboration is Storm Bowling has pledged a portion of every sale of a duo to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. So getting a great performing ball and also helping a great cause should be good selling point for the Duo. I tested the Duo on the house pattern at my home center. While our pattern is on the longer side, the added heat of summer makes the lanes hook ALOT more than they do in the winter. I was worried about the Duo's strength after my experiences with the Idol series balls when the oil seems to sit so thin in the heat. The Duo however has proven to be much more useful. The microtrax pearl cover will get through the front of the lane and the higher RG mentor core doesn't cause the ball to burn up. What you get is a good strong backend reaction that isn't so violent that you can't control it. The advantage to this is that small misses don't leave you with unmakeable spares the way the really angular balls do. So while the Duo will clear all the early friction, it retains energy and gives you a strong, controllable roll down lane. I really like this reaction when I'm forced left and have to cover boards. The Duo is strong enough for me to use first ball out of the bag on the current conditions. In the winter I would see it being more useful when some friction develops down-lane. The GB4 Hybrid is the first ball out of my bag on just about all conditions unless I know there’s a ton of oil. This benchmark predictable rolling ball allows me to start where I know I’m comfortable and to assess what changes I might want to make. I drilled mine a short pin, pin down layout of 80 x 2.25 x 75. This has given me smoother motion with a controlled backend. It does not struggle to hook, just controls the backend beautifully. The Game Breaker line has been super successful for a reason, and this one might be the best of the bunch for me. https://youtube.com/shorts/wpT7_SkYfKI?feature=share

I continue to be amazed at the technology and new ball released by Storm. You wonder if you they can make something better well the released for the Absolute is a start. The ball is very predictable and definitely gives me a shape I was missing. The smoother shape gives me more forgiveness than a typical shiny asym, while still storing energy and continuing through the lane. I can use the Absolute both when I'm in my comfort zone playing straighter and when I have to chase left. This ball is a great benchmark ball to start with. Perfect step down ball from the real strong stuff like my Reality. RS2 coverstock allows me to stay with a big ball core longer before having to go in symmetrical stuff. It's really a ball that fits a spot like no other ball on the market.

https://youtu.be/j0tT85OsMXQ Ball review: DUO Layout: 50x4 3/8x35 PAP: 4 3/8> 1/2^ Today we have the new DUO from Roto Grip. The latest entry into the HP3 line. Roto Grip had partnered with Big Brother/Big Sister with the release of this ball by donating 5% of sales to aid in the development and support in the BB/BS program. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in bowling and outside of bowling with the same purchase. The DUO has the new Mentor core wrapped with the Microtrax Pearl coverstock, previously on the Exotic Gem. This is a good Step down from the Exotic Gem. I have compared the DUO to my Roto Grip Exotic Gem, On fresh THS I can start with my Exotic Gem and ball down to my Duo which is cleaner through the front and smoother downlane. these balls is a great addition to my bag and a good 1-2 combo for medium to heavy lane conditions The Roto Grip DUO is NOW available at your local VIP Storm proshop World Class Pro Shop Be sure to pick yours up!! Come see me #WORLDCLASSPROSHOP #stormnation #SquadRG #WAWG #DUO #L1

The Summit is Storm's strongest symmetrical ball to date. With a new coverstock featuring a variation of the cover we saw on the Phaze 2 it was a no brainer to compare these balls against each other. The Summit distinctly picked up sooner than the Phaze 2 where the latter was on the cleaner more continuous side. I played about 2-3 boards further left with the Summit over the Phaze. The Summit will be able to handle more oil and allow you to play more left to right versus the Phaze. I can see both these balls playing well off eachother based off what the lanes are giving you. I can see being in a Summit and needing to go to something weaker like the Phaze 2 or being in the Phaze 2 and needing to migrate let and ball up to a Summit. There is room for both these balls in your bag. The Summit, like the Phaze, will suit all styles of players from strokers to higher rev players and be able to be utilized on a wide array of playing conditions from recreational to sport.

Why Trust Verified Reviews?
Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.
Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.
As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:
Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.
Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
