I covered the windows with black plastic bags, cardboard, blankets and all sorts of blackout curtains, liners, shades and blinds without much success. Because I was convinced that lots of other people must also be struggling with the same problem, I set out to invent an affordable, easy to use room darkening window treatment.

Works very well for creating a pitch black room. I cut it a tiny bit short so the tiniest amount of light gets through, but it's almost imperceptible. Just be careful with the measurement.

Blackout curtains work incredible! But if a hassle to cut and install but once it’s done it is so worth it. Only thing that would make it even better is if it came with a bit more Velcro. Had to cut them down the middle to have enough to get around the whole window since my window is split down the middle.

I was disappointed in a decrease in quality with my most recent order. I ordered 2 large and they arrived folded instead of rolled, despite a big increase in shipping price. The folding created small cracks and holes in the corners of the folds, which light sparkles through, and I didn't notice until I'd already sized them and started putting them up. This is distracting (especially for the price!) for trying to sleep after night shift, and the persistent creases are unsightly in general. Also, the velcro is much narrower than with the previous order, and on the first hot day, the vinyl fell completely off the velcro backing (the two sides of the velcro stuck together fine), despite being firmly applied. Storing/shipping the vinyl folded damages it, and the narrower velcro doesn't seem as good.

I work midnights. The "blackout curtains" weren't cutting it. These are a game changer and actually keep my room dark.

These are working out perfectly for my 2 children’s windows!! They keep the room nice and dark. I love how easy they are to install and how easily they come off and go back on so we can open the windows! I’ll tell all my Mama friends about these!!
