Ordering was great and battery came in relatively short order. Unfortunately, after installing into Kindle (admittedly an model 9 yrs old), it failed to hold charge and thus was worthless.

Robert, thanks for your feedback. A kindle of 9 years old that went dead and then you eventually decide to get a new battery for it... may or not be fixed by any new battery. There are quick fixes in cases like this that often solve the problem in cases where the kindle stubbornly won't charge the new battery and then kindle needs to be reset due to a corrupted software in your kindle that manages the charging process. Also the charging ports on kindles are notorious for wiggling out of place (disconnecting) and going bad from alot of use. Battery cannot charge if the kindle or charging port won't charge it. That is not the battery's fault. So, before you pull the trigger on blame and give up on your kindle, try to learn about how kindles operate and how they work with the battery. If after fully troubleshooting your kindle, it is confirmed all is good on the kindle except the new battery, we happily send you a replacement or refund depending on what you prefer and how long you waited to tell us. You ordered on 8/19/22 and we shipped same day. It is now 10/1/22. Why haven't you contacted yet to ask for help before giving up?
