I am really impressed with the craftsmanship of this piece, it's a honor to have this helmet of this impressive king displayed at my house . It makes a bold and majestic statement to all that see's it.

If I didn't know what I paid for this helmet, I would have guessed about $400...great value for the money, looks museum quality.

Great suit of armor to add a touch of nobility and history to your castle Brass trim accentuates the plate armor and chain mail. Plate not as ample ad Milanese suit but it's from an earlier time.

I was very pleased with this item!/ Unlike other armor pruchases,..this gorget came with sturdy leather straps and buckling. I have paid more in the past and always disliked the weak straps that come standard with armor. Good work!

I built a man cave in my garage using European castle stone with a midevil touch and use the items I buy for display.

A very cute helmet, the peculiar visor gives it an attractive, noticeable look. Often called a hounds skull, pig face, or hundsgugel in German, or just visored bascinet, this is one of the more famous styles of medieval European helmets, used especially throughout the Hundred Years' War. It is distinguishable from many other helmets throughout the world's military history. This item was introduced after a larger variant was discontinued here at Armor Venue, and the other review was about the older helmets. The new version is inexpensive and simpler. I saw visored bascinets being sold at around 190$ or more, so it's nice not to have to spend that much. The lower cost is probably due to the simpler construction, shorter and smaller visor, and less articles on the helmet. The visor can be moved up and down easily, and is attached with bolts and nuts, one on each side, so by unscrewing the nuts, the visor can be taken off. The bascinet, without the visor, has an inner circumference of 22 inches, but when measured directly from the brow to back, it is almost 23 inches. Despite its small size, it should fit most people. I think it's made from 18 gauge steel, so this is more of a display and costuming item, but I suppose it will protect you nonetheless from general swordplay, but I would double check if you plan on SCA activities. The lower the gauge the stronger and heavier the steel will be, and the higher the cost as well. The helmet does NOT come with inner padding or chinstraps, but I've used an adhesive to bond an old belt to be a makeshift chinstrap and some cloth to act as informal and rather ineffective padding. If you're like me and you like modifying things, keep in mind that you cannot return items after they've been modified, so only change an item if you plan on keeping it forever.

Very nice suit of armor at a reasonable price. Substantial pieces of plate which make for a nice display piece but its also wearable.

I decided to order the warrior complete armor package to complete a long growing collection. When it first arrived it was kept safe in a large box filled with packing peanuts, each piece wrapped in bubble wrap. Upon opening the armor i also noticed it was polished. Each piece separate is beautiful, but together this armor not only looks great but functions well. After walking around and practice sword fighting for a bit, the armor itself is very comfortable when adjusted to the right size. The leather straps are thick and hold the armor together very well. So far nothing has broken or seemed to have degraded.

Very nice gauntlets, overall good quality and price for what you get. They are durable and can take a beating and still look nice. The leather gloves are thick and strong as well, though the fingers are a bit short. Funny thing about it is that the leather gloves are partially glued onto the metal plating, and the glue didn't stick very well when I took it out of the box, so some extra superglue was needed to correct the issue. The leather gloves themselves are rather inflexible, but gradually got more comfortable the more I wore them. You can still hold onto anything with them without fear of hurting your hands. The gloves are great for costuming and swordplay. Also make great compromised cooking mittens.

I plan to wear it under my armour.

A few small complaints, though please understand I love this helmet, and I am happy I purchased it. The... uh, bit on top with the hair is actually an insert, and packed next to the helmet, and due to the confines, now the hair tilts off to one side. I just got it today, so hopefully this will wear off. The insert just pops right into the top of the helmet, and it fits tightly, but it won't set all the way in, leaving the thinest brown line around the edge from the thick cardboard or whatever the hair is attached to. A sharpie could probably cure this easily, but I am loathe to do anything to it only an hour out of the box. If you're at the larger end of the size scale for fit, be warned, it can get snug. No room for padding smug, even. While the snugness assures you it won't slide off in the slightest breeze, it does get that nose piece to press on your nose some. I can still breathe, but darn it's snug.

This Trojan helmet really completes the costume. The only problem is it only comes in one size. We had to line the inside with foam in order to get a snug fit. Otherwise, we are very pleased with our purchase.

This is a truly beautiful piece, the detail is astonishing, and when put on display this helmet will be the prized centerpiece of your home decor and a topic of conversation for any guest that you may have in your house. If you plan on wearing this piece for any type of reanactment you might want to consider adding some helmet pads, only because this helmet has a particularly deep crown and might need some minor re adjustment depending on your head size. Other than that over all an un-comparable piece of armor and you won't find better for the price.

Tried to order this same product from another vendor. Funds cleared but six months later, no word on when it was coming. Cancelled and order through armor venue, verified in stock and received in days. Very friendly on the phone.

Good Deal! I will order it other time

Overall this is a good shield. My only complaint is that the Hospitaller cross seems to be stenciled on instead of hand painted. Other than that, I think it is a good deal.

Although it is titled as a helmet, it's more of a heaume, as its bottom rests and is supported on your shoulders. It is a very strong helm and can shake off considerable damage. I gave it a downward two-handed hit with my "Early Medieval Sword" and it left a big dent near the top but didn't pierce the metal. The dent was about three inches long and one inch deep. So, in this case, the helm does not fail to preform its duty as its conical shape helps in deflecting blows, but hits to the helm will give amplified sound for your ears if you are wearing it. Of course if you keep it for LARP or display rather than beating it into a pulp, you have nothing to worry about. Also, getting an arming cap would help in cushioning sound and force going into the helm, though you can also wear any kind of soft fabric before wearing the helm (such as a ski mask), too, which would be better than nothing. It fits me well enough, though it does not fit my little brother (the eye sights stopped at his eye brows when he put it on), so if you're a really large and very tall person the helm may not fit properly. As anyone would guess, wearing the helm does limit visibility and can be quite cumbersome, but at least you'll feel safe in it.

I use my Italic Corinthian Helmet mostly for display . I would have prefered a Bronze version of it insteed but the brass quality is perfect and very beautiful and I have to say im very satified. The plume isnt cheap and the leather has some nice details on it .There should be some kind of color choices for the plume but the one showed isnt to be doubted . I recomend buying the helmet stand for the display ,and the arming cap since its unwearable without it because there is 2 boat inside the helm holding the plume on the top . And the cap will help considering its size wich is perfect with it . But still the helm will be a little bit loose on your head .So some strap modification or foam will be needed if you plan on using the helm for a costume or anything of the sort. So these 2 boats inside it will be perfect for that duty . Otherwise Im very Satified by this product , I like it . A very beautiful display piece for any historical fan .

Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.
As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:
Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.
Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
