This is my first nightguard so I have nothing to compare it to. :-) I bought the hard flexible because I didn't want the nightguard to be so firm that I couldn't sleep with it in my mouth. It took me a few nights (about 4) to get used to it. The fit is great. I opted for the front cut option since I wanted this to be as comfortable as possible.
