Although I haven't used the product yet because I just received it, I had a few retailers that did not carry it and would not order it for me. I have two machines, I didn't want to purchase another, so this is my "Serger". This company was very prompt in sending out the Side cutter with clear to follow instructions. I am very pleased.

My old machine just did not give me enough stitch options for what I wanted to make. In the end, for the price and options, this machine does a really good job. I LOVE the automatic buttonholes and that there are 4 of them! It has changed my crafting life. I recommend this machine for those who make their own clothes and crafting projects.

I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED AT FIRST, BUT I THINK ALOT OF THAT WAS THAT I WAS NOT REALLY KNOWLEDGEFUL ABOUT THE MACHINE. IN OTHER WORDS THE MACHINE WAS SMARTER THAN ME. IF IT WON'T DO WHAT I WANT IT TO DO, ITS BECAUSE I DID SOMETHING WRONG.JUST TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE BOOK AND WATCH THE VIDEO(SEVERAL TIMES IF YOU HAVE TO) THE MORE THAT I TRY DIFFERENT THINGS THE MORE THAT I LOVE IT.

I enjoy this machine a lot. It does a beautiful job of embroidering and it is easy to operate. The needle threader is terrific and is almost 100% successful each time. It is easy to thread and easy to load from the computer or card reader. The only trouble I have had is with the thread breaking. I have not taken the time to find the perfect needle and tension setting for the thread I use.

I love this machine! This machine works great for people of all ages, even eight-year-old girls. It has three speeds at the push of a button. It is easy to thread and select and adjust the stitch width and length. The Brother SE 400 is a combination sewing and embroidery machine. Brother has many free embroidery designs on their website. The manuals are very descriptive and easy to follow. Read the manual online before purchasing the machine, you will pleasantly surprise.

I have had my Janome 1600P DB for 2 years now and use it on a Handi Quilter frame. When it works, it works great! But, when it decides to have troubles, it is really frustrating. I have had problems with the thread breaking and it only seems to like a few types of thread-King Tut, Signature and YLI are the only ones my machine will use. It sews really fast and is easy to oil. For the price, it is a good deal. Just be sure to read your instruction manual and watch how you put in the needles, they can be tricky.

QID books have a pretty standard format for determining sizing and block placement. If you are happy with the approach, this book will not disappoint. The quilt is a fairly easy one to make altho it appears more difficult than it is. Once you have mastered it, it is a great one for gifting as you can change the colors to make it truly a special creation for the one being gifted. again, as with all QID books, dlon't expect a lot of different designs. This is much like a large pattern with options for sizes and designs from one technique.

This is the first quilting book I ever owned. I purchased it to take a beginning quilting class at Quilt in a Day. It is written, as I have learned are all of her books, to help you finish one quilt. Using the technique in the book, in this case the log cabin block, you are provided with a variety of different layouts which enable you to make several unique quilts with the same block. It also provides fabric and cutting info for different size finished quilts. For the most part it is easy to read and follow. Just be sure that you mark the size you are using so you don't miscut or purchase too little fabric.

I got this machine around Feb. 2010, and I really like it. All around good quality, with a needle plate that automatically adusts, a needle threader, lots of fancy stitches, and the accessories (like feet) are fairly inexpensive. I also like the way it starts and stops at the beg. and ends of seams. But my favorite part is the ability to control the speed--I always want to go too fast! I haven't mastered machine quilting yet, but that's probably more my fault than the machine's. One negative is that it's kind of hard to reach the screw for unfastening the foot. Most of the feet are easy to change, but when you need to unscrew the foot (for machine quilting, for example) it's hard to get to.

Great product for a great price. Great for someone on a tight budget!

I really, really like this foot!! If you do not have one and like to do you own machine quilting, buy one!!! It made it so easy!!

I have seen the quattro once, but from what I have read and heard it has everything I would want. I want a machine I can understand and easy to learn. I am 77.

i have a sewing machine that is a singer. i had broken my bobbins so i looked on the computer for the singer bobbins . i ordered some of the bobbins and was glad to know where i can find parts for my machine

Juel H - 06/15/2010
Good starter machine. Only can do small embroideries. Works slick and the built in designs are good. Tells you when to change thread and when the bobbin is low. You almost don't have to be there to sew a design! 8-)

This was my first serger and it has been pretty good. Main positives: I love how the rolled hem feature does not require a change of throat plate, or much effort. It is not computerized in any way, so most repair places can take care of it easily (though replacement parts have been harder and harder to find).Main negatives: it is not meant for a lot of use. The motor burnt out of it after 5 years, but I started to use it more than it probably wanted to be used. Basically, if you are just using it to sew seams and edges, it is a good starter machine. Want to use it more than that? Buy something more heavy duty.

I love this light. I can adjust it to shine directly where I need it and with extra brackets, I can use it on whichever machine I need it on. Taking to class is easy!

It's a great machine for sewing and embroidery but for the price, I wish I had purchased the PR650 embroidery machine. I already had another embroidery/sewing machine.

This table makes quilting so much easier with the drop down table for the sewing machine. I use it every day and it makes quilting on big or little projects so much easier.

Camie D - 06/15/2010
Love it. Easier to use than my last machine.User friendly. I enjoy using it. Have used a lot of the machine stitches and embroidery designs in the machine with excellent results.

THis is a great cutting mat. It sits on a cutting table in front of a window in my craft room so I can cut fabric for quilting whenever I have the time. It stays put and is quite durable.
Why Trust Verified Reviews?
Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.
Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.
As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:
Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.
Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
