I use darning foot a lot. I purchased a clear one because I thought I would see the stiching better, but after 2 years of use it cracked. I did not run over anything but material with it, so it broke just from frequent use. Since then I purchased a metal darninig foot and I am much happier with it.I can see my stitches perfectly well with it as the opening is bigger than the plastic foot. If you have to pick a darning foot go with the metal one!
