As a noob sewer: this is perfect and not painful to learn for 1st sewing machine. The extra features are nice too and allows for a range of projects. I only had it for a few weeks now but time will tell how it holds up. Seems pretty durable as long as taken care of properly.

I really bought this machine as a backup to the 44 year old Pfaff that I love. I have to say this Babylock Zest is quite nice and very sturdy. I thought it would be just okay but I have used it and I'm very pleased with the stitches and the performance. This is not a machine that has all the bells & whistles of many of the new machines. It is electronic which is what I was looking for. Very satisfied with my purchase and the bag that was included.

Shipping issues - shipped out quickly (Thanksgiving weekend). Trouble timing having someone home to sign for the package. In the end i had to drive to a FedEx facility to pick up. I do appreciate the quick shipping, just did not go well for me.
