This is not the quality machine I had hoped for. It took me forever to figure out how to get it to sew a decent seam. The instructions were inadequate. I am still hoping I can get it to sew the projects I bought it for.

I was looking for a new sewing machine that had a larger throat. The Jazz ll has a 12 inch throat space which is great when I am quilting. It took be several times to figure out how to use the needle threader, but I found a YouTube video which helped. There are several YouTube videos out there to give you helpful tips on sewing with the Jaz ll. I am loving this machine. Only thing missing is an automatic thread cutter, which I can live without since the extra throat space and the way it sews is wonderful. It has a manual thread cutter one on the side. I went from a machine that had the automatic bobbin thread cutter & top thread cutter to this one.

I had high hopes for this machine. Was excited for the large opening that would accommodate a large quilt. This is only thing that is satisfactory. The stitch length is extremely small even at the longest setting. The tension is impossible to get correct. When sewing the stitches will be perfect for a few inches then, the bobbin thread will show on the top for a few inches, then it will go back to sewing perfectly. No settings were changed. The bobbin winding is also terrible. I use a separate bobbin winder. I have owned the machine for too long to send it back. Rarely use it because it is very frustrating.my next step is bring the machine to a repair person. Perhaps they will be able to fix it, but I doubt it. The machine will most likely be relegated to the back of s closest.

I am just waiting for the remaining items that were supposed to be in my free bonus bundle which was part of the reason I selected the item I purchased. The invoice said the missing items were out of stock but they were giving some if the same items in drawings during Quilt Fest which occurred the same week I received my machine.

I’m loving the machine itself. I received it for Christmas & was over the moon happy! However, it’s now 3 months on & still missing items from my “bonus bundle”. I have called & was told the items were coming eventually. Quite disappointed.
