My credit score is up nearly 100 points from the last 6 months of reporting. Now that my CD has approached maturity I can't wait until it is deposited back into my bank account. I feel like I have paid myself and it only took a year!

I am surprised how much my credit score increased with the help of this account and making the payments from time. My credit is now good enough that I got approved for a Capital One credit card to continue help me build my credit with on Time payments. Very happy with my experience! Self Lender was easy to set up, automatic payments were a breeze, and the notifications of pending withdrawals were very helpful in assisting me to keep track of my budget and finances. I've recommended it to all of my friends and family, and might just start an account for my teens to help teach them about banking, credit, and savings!

The service is over priced. A year after opening my account the price has gone down on the services. I was not offered a refund for the overcharge even though Self Lender did nothing to help my credit score. As I found out from reading and understanding from 200+ hours of research that when i close my account my credit score will actually drop. Great... I paid 200 dollars to pay me back my own money. I wish i never signed up...

I thought this would raise my score. Because it's new, it seemed like a good idea. I didn't have any credit and also got a secured card. What I noticed is that I had the card before the CD, and after I got the CD with Self Lender my credit score has not changed. A car loan is what this is supposed to simulate but it doesn't change your score as that is the holy grail of installment loans for your credit score to rise. I would use this if you don't have any other options otherwise you're just paying for entertainment value.

I missed a few payments and my loan got put in default I am being mailed what I paid but the rest got out on my credit as what I owe to you guys? How do i get this out of collections and when i pay it off does it go to me?
