I ordered the smallest size of this lovely Franciscan Tau (desc. as nickel size) and it is exactly what I was hoping for. I was gifted with a Tau upon graduating from my Franciscan spiritual direction program, and while it holds great sentimental value to me, it was not sterling silver and had discolored a great deal. I found this one online and the reviews for the jewelry were so good that I decided to order. While $45 may seem like an unreasonable price to pay--I noticed the occasional gripe about items being overpriced for the size, etc.--because I was looking for a quality piece that I could wear regularly, I just decided I'd pay it and return the item if it didn't meet my expectations. I am not a wealthy individual in terms of finances, but I have zero regrets in purchasing this item AND zero regrets paying extra for shipping to get it here more quickly. The value to me is more than simply the cost; it has everything to do with the meaning of the item for me. Thank you, Patron Saint Medals.

The cross is beautiful, but smaller than expected. The chain was also smaller than expected, even though we ordered the correct size.
