These sterling miraculous medals are made by Bliss. They are excellent pieces of artwork. However, at the back of the medal, the horizontal bar at the foot of the cross is not 'laced' or intertwined correctly with the Letter M. Most Bliss MM are designed like this. The horizontal bar should be 'laced' as follows: the bar is at the FRONT of the left leg of M; BEHIND the 'down' diagonal of M; at the FRONT of the 'up' diagonal of M and finally, BEHIND the right leg of M, as in THE ORIGINAL design of the medal first struck in the 1830's in France.
