I bought this clover to overseed into some tall fescue grass. I was dreaming of a beautiful lawn alternative. By lawn I mean it’s more like a small patch. After overseeding it into my sad-looking fescue I watered it every evening and sometimes in the early morning when it started to get really hot. Think like the mid-to-upper 90’s. Much to my delight, it came up rather quickly and formed a beautiful, soft, bright green carpet. I waited until it was about 4-5inches tall to mow it. The patch I mowed under my grape vine died within a few days. That was really disappointing. But things went really downhill when it started to get pretty hot. I live in the desert southwest so during the summer (even in mid-spring) temperatures really start heating up here. Once that heat came, my soft, beautiful carpet of lovely clover died within a week. Even the ones that were in mostly shade under an ash tree. Just gone. I died inside. All those gallons of water for nothing. It was gorgeous while it lasted. So I’m thinking that perhaps this beautiful clover is best for fall/winter planting here in the desert. Or perhaps even just in a climate that isn’t quite so blazingly hot.

Very simple prep and watered every evening for 14 days and I have good coverage already. Very pleased. I'll turn another 20% of the lawn over to clover next spring. Can't wait to see those bees next year!

I am SO HAPPY, I had decided to "ditch" my little Front Lawn, and replace it with a more "cottagey feel", with White Dutch Clover!! In less than 5 days, it is already, visably growing in my "Clay Soil"! Wish It could SHOW You!!

This clover is great. We had severe drought last year and our town did not allow watering of lawns. Incredibly, the clover stayed green while the grass dries to a crisp. I’m back for more this year to spread over the remainder of my lawn.

This stuff if amazing. We scattered seed in a number of places-- on bare patches of rock hard clay, on our grass lawn-- we now have healthy clover everywhere. About to make a second order. Speedy germination and hardy plants. Great stuff.

we have poor soil (clay) but put in a new back yard and had 2 inches of topsoil placed into which we spread the dutch white clover. It sprouted quickly and it holds moisture amazingly well. It grows fast, we mowed it several times and the composted clover was awesome in the compost pile! The flowers are lovely and draw lots of bees. It does tend to take over, but it's easy to clear from places you may not want it to grow. We LOVE our clover!
