I think the material is excellent but reasonably narrow. I would have for liked to see for instance more details on how the b-tree has different performance characteristics than a binary tree.

Well-written and comprehensive introduction to Ruby which will give you a solid foundation to begin your journey. The book is divided into three parts with the first two being the real core of the language and the last being focused on more esoteric subjects. The pacing is good but I would've preferred to have the chapter on file I/O much soon than the last chapter of the second part since that's fairly critical information to know for building pretty much any project. The chapters sometimes go a bit too much into the weeds but that's a double-edged sword since it does pay off in terms of functioning as a reference. My only other complaint is that it needs to be updated for Ruby 3.0. Overall, an excellent title. I've also found Manning's online reader to be more useful than I expected and I use that more often than my own copy of the book I keep in Calibre.

The book has good content and was well-priced. The ease of purchase was also nice. I think I will be buying from Manning. Library search experience is still a little off but works (basically). We could use some more I.T in that area for a best customer experience.

In a world of secrets and lack of documentation (thanks to Mr. Windows and thanks to Mr. Mac) this book is crucial to understand all those details that RFC may not describe in depth.

In addition to the official specifications (RFC), it seemed to be the only real book about HTTP/2. All other articles and book just reflect the anxiety to satisfy the need to publish things, no matter of the real value, contents and innovation.

I wish I've read this book before... In most projects, testing code and testing strategies are undervalued. This book highlights strategies and practices that will make your testing shine! And if your testing shines your production code will shine. It doesn't really matter where you are with your production code, if the testing code is not ok, you production code will decay and there will be no way to stop the decay. I would also mention the structure of the book, examples and the way of explaining concepts which make it an easy ready, easy to understand and easy to apply in real life.

As the name suggests, this book focuses on Razor Page while scratching the surface on related such as Entity Framework Core, Identity and the Web API model. I found it a great introduction to ASP.NET Core. If you want to grab a more in-depth understanding of the Framework and its ecosystem, you might consider reading on with ASP.NET Core in Action.

I have the online version of this book, and I wish I had come across this book a few years ago; it contains so many things that any .NET developer needs. Even though it is based on ASP.NET Core 7, the concepts presented in it are relevant for the newer ASP.NET Core 8 version as well. That being said, despite being a .NET professional in my daily work, I discovered many enlightening aspects in the book that I will incorporate into my projects. In essence, the book is a fantastic tool for both beginners and more advanced developers within the .NET ecosystem.
