The previous trubind twin loop have been substituted for a different version. There is different packaging. The newer spines do not have a measureable dip in the center, as did the previous version. When you crimp it, it does not create perfect circular spine. I'm a bit sad now. The newer version creates a corner on the spine. Therefore my notebooks no longer close smoothly. I'm sure it's an extra step in the machining process to add the spine 'dip', but it's what made the previous spines work so well. I'm going to spend a summer at the farmer's market watching people walk away from the handmade notebooks that don't close properly. #sad

I'm unhappy that a product substitution was made. The spines were clearly in a different box than previous orders. The spine no longer has a dip in it, which means that it no longer crimps cleanly and creates a professional product. I don't know if it was the manufacturer who changed or it was at your end. But I'm not a happy camper.
