I bought the 28” white faux marble with white base and am extremely pleased. I have real marble side tables and was worried that this faux would look cheap, but it is incredibly beautiful like a polished marbled. It was meticulously packed and easy to assemble. As instructed, I put the marble top on a thick rug for assembly so that it would not get scratched. I am pleased with the solid weight of the table; I can barely move the table around.
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the sinking sensation in my gut when I read the warning label in the bottom of the faux marble concerning birth defects and cancer. Should I not let anyone sit at the table? Should I not eat a piece of food that falls on the table? Should I not let someone touch the table? Am I putting myself and friends at risk by using this table? If this is such a serious threat to our health, why the heck does our government allow it to be sold in our country?
